God's Big Story for our Kids: Shifting from Babysitting to Discipling at Sunday School
Published by the Anglican Church in North America
"One of the most common conundrums for growing churches big and small is: what to do with the kids? And not just: “how do we fill their time?”, but how do we disciple them well and train them in the deep, life-giving goodness of the gospel? Can we teach our kids the real stuff of what it means to be Christ-centered, gospel-driven, biblically-grounded and Anglican? Can we do more with our kids on Sundays than babysit them until the adults are done?"
We are pleased to share with you a resource that we believe you and the children and families in your parish will find fruitful.
The Rev. Dcn. Jane Roberts has introduced us to an online curriculum written by Anglican Network in Canada entitled God’s Big Story. It’s a user friendly, multi-aged children’s ministry curriculum that unfolds the Biblical story and is rooted in the Anglican tradition and ethos. Below is information about God’s Big Story and a video from Deacon Roberts introducing the curriculum.
Our plan is to make this available online for any parish to use at no cost. We encourage and invite you to explore this excellent resource.
