St. Anne’s in the Fields Anglican Church, within the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes (ADGL), is a believing, praying, faithful and welcoming Christian church family committed to seeking, worshiping and glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ.
Located in Madison, Ohio, a growing lakeside wine-country community of more than 20,000 people, Madison is amidst 23 towns in Lake County. It is a mostly rural county, which borders Lake Erie, and has a 2021 population of 232,023.
Our current rector, The Rev. Kelly M. Irish, is retiring in June 2023 after 27 years of faithful leadership at St. Anne’s. We are searching for a rector who is primarily a pastor, and gifted as a preacher and teacher, to help us share God’s and the love of Christ. Our worship service incorporates hymns and contemporary praise music within a traditional form of worship.
We are sacramental, evangelical, and charismatic. Founded in 1904, we disaffiliated from The Episcopal Church in 2005 and joined the Anglican Church of North America (ACNA), later becoming a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes.
St. Anne’s consists of more than 100 members with different levels of commitment, representing a spectrum of ages, primarily in the age range of 50-65, with a social and economic pattern representing white middle-class parishioners. Members under age 30 are low in count with about 12 children under age 12 in regular attendance. Our average Sunday service attendance for the year 2022 is 62 with a current annual budget of $145,878.
