Position: Rector (Full Time)
Location: St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, Elizabethtown, KY
Date Posted:  October 14, 2024

St. Timothy’s Anglican church is a small church located in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Our congregation is made up of a diverse mixture of urban, rural and military families. Our parish is made up of approximately 40 members. There is an average attendance of between 25 and 30 at our 10 AM worship service on Sunday mornings.

The congregation at St. Timothy’s just completed a Re-Visioning process to help the church focus on what is needed in the way of mission and ministry, in the church and in the Hardin County community. The leadership in the congregation will be focusing on four core areas:

1. Update Music Style.

2. Youth Programs and Activities.

3. Church and Community Education and Assistance Programs.

4. Change the World for Christ (A Bold Vision)

We want to dream big and want to find ways to spread the gospel to our community and to help meet people’s needs in that community. We want to be a witness to all for the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are looking for a Rector who can help us to not be focused internally on ourselves but to be externally focused on our mission to the community and the world.

St. Timothy’s, with all our strengths and challenges, is poised and ready to grow and move forward. Our motto is “Gather, Grow and Go”. We prayerfully and faithfully look to call a new rector to join us on the adventure that is our future.

It is our desire to employ a full-time rector. Currently St. Timothy’s Anglican Church can provide a competitive package, paid vacation, insurance and housing allowance for our new Rector. We do feel that it is important that the new rector reside in the Radcliff/Hardin County community.

Saint Timothy’s would be able to assist in the relocation cost.

Details about the church and what this position requires, can be found in the parish profile and rector position description.

If you would like further information on this position or the church please contact Glenn Wilson, chairman of the search committee by phone at 502.643.8785 or email gwilson@visionaec.com.

Position: Parish Rector (Full Time)
Location: Apostles Anglican Church, Lexington, KY
Date Updated:  June 7, 2025

Apostles Anglican Church is looking for a full time pastor to shepherd our congregation. Our parish values relationships, authenticity, approachability, and intelligent, biblically-based teaching that enriches our community of faith.

Our next rector will need to be:

  • a lifelong learner

  • a good teacher

  • empathetic

  • humble

  • well-humored

He or she must be able to deliver effective and compelling sermons, led by the Holy Spirit and focused on Jesus. The candidate must trust scripture, speak truth with grace, and move us to an even deeper relationship with God, using theology aligned with the following:

1. God grants His grace and sometimes He offers it in a prevenient manner.

2. Humans have the free will to accept or reject God’s grace.

3. Humans have the potential for complete, Christian holiness.

While Apostles embraces the traditions of the Anglican Church, many of our parishioners came from non-Anglican backgrounds, as do many of our visitors. The next rector will need to continue the mission of Apostles being a home for spiritual orphans and seekers by educating them in the Anglican way. He or she must additionally be willing and able to increase our church’s racial and ethnic diversity in authentic ways.

Apostles has strong lay leadership, and our candidate will need to encourage and support emerging leaders and facilitate parishioner-initiated community groups and outreach ministries. The church has a paid, part-time administrative staff. We currently have a full time associate priest, focusing on pastoral care and parishioner engagement. In addition to this, there is a youth and young adult pastor who is an ordained priest. Related to clergy, we additionally have two ordained priests and a female transitional deacon who are non-staff clergy. Our church has always supported women in lay and ordained ministry, and this is a non-negotiable quality we are seeking in our next rector. The next rector will need the administrative flexibility and mentoring skills to incorporate and manage such a staff and one in a state of transition.

Our congregation believes in the power of prayer for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that can sometimes be miraculous. We strive to deepen our relationships with God, our fellow believers, and our non-Christian neighbors. While we have a variety of secular opinions, we come together to worship the risen Lord—an essential characteristic of our church and a must for our future rector.

Applications should be direct via the Parish Profile (google forms link included in the parish profile):
